
Empowering Women Through Mental Wellness- IWD 2025

March was a month of empowerment, reflection, and meaningful conversations at Happy Mind as we partnered with leading organizations to celebrate International Women’s Day. Through a series of workshops and webinars, we helped women across industries navigate workplace challenges, embrace self-care, and foster emotional resilience. Each session was thoughtfully designed to provide practical strategies and a supportive space for open dialogue. Here’s a look at how we marked this special month.
Empowering Women, Strengthening Minds – INSEE Cement (March 7th)
In collaboration with Melani Narampanawa, we hosted a thought-provoking webinar for INSEE Cement employees titled ‘Empowering Women, Strengthening Minds.’ This session highlighted the intricate link between women’s empowerment and mental health, how mental resilience plays a crucial role in personal and professional success. From tackling workplace biases to developing a strong sense of self-worth, the discussion encouraged participants to embrace their strength and advocate for their well-being at their workplace and in their personal lives.


‘SHE RISES’ Program Launch – John Keells Holdings (March 7th)
John Keells Holdings launched ‘SHE RISES,’ a self-care program designed exclusively for its retail division female employees, with Happy Mind as the program facilitator. This comprehensive initiative covers essential aspects of self-care, including,
– Self-awareness on Mental, Emotional, and Physical Wellness – Helping participants understand personal well-being on a deeper level.
– Mastering Work-Life Integration – Strategies for balancing multiple roles effectively as a woman.
– Health & Hygiene – Establishing a strong foundation for self-care.
– Breaking Barriers – Overcoming cultural biases that hinder personal growth.
This program will set the stage for long-term self-care habits, equipping participants with the mindset and strategies to prioritize their well-being. The program will run year around starting May 2025.


Women’s Mental Health & Well-Being – IFS (March 11th)
Rushika Silva led an insightful session for IFS employees on ‘Women’s Mental Health & Well-Being.’ This discussion provided participants with practical tools to manage workplace challenges, build emotional resilience, and incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines. The session emphasized that mental health isn’t just about managing stress—it’s about thriving, both personally and professionally.

Nurturing Self-Love, Self-Esteem & Emotional Wellness – IFS (March 12th)
Zainab Hudha took the lead on another powerful session for IFS, focusing on ‘Nurturing Self-Love, Self-Esteem & Emotional Wellness.’ This interactive discussion encouraged women to embrace self-compassion, challenge self-doubt, and prioritize their emotional well-being. The session provided a safe space for open conversations on confidence-building and the importance of self-acceptance in professional and personal growth.

Creative Expression for Mental Wellness – DPL – Dipped Products PLC (March 12th)
Happy Mind collaborated with Erandathie Damunupola to host an engaging art therapy session for DPL employees. Through guided creative exercises, participants explored themes of self-love, emotional awareness, and stress relief. Art served as a powerful medium for self-expression, allowing attendees to reflect on their mental well-being and discover new ways to practice self-care.



Women’s Mental Health Workshop – Navesta Pharmaceuticals (March 11th)
In collaboration with Melani Narampanawa, we conducted a hands-on workshop for Navesta Pharmaceuticals employees, focusing on women’s mental health. This interactive session covered essential aspects such as,
– Managing workplace stress effectively
– Practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques
– The importance of self-care and setting personal boundaries
The session helped participants recognize the significance of prioritizing their mental health and provided actionable strategies for achieving balance in their daily lives.


March was a testament to the growing commitment of organizations to prioritize women’s mental well-being in the workplace. From self-care and mindfulness to emotional resilience and creative expression, these sessions provided invaluable insights and practical strategies for women to thrive.
